in plain terms.
What Chakhle Raja collects, why each field exists, who processes it and how long it stays.
Draft pending legal review
This policy is an engineering draft written against what the product actually collects. The registered entity name and address are not yet filled in, and it must be signed off by counsel before launch.
Chakhle Raja rates dishes. Doing that needs less about you than most food apps ask for, and this page lists every field, why it exists, and how long we keep it.
What we collect
Only what a dish rating platform actually needs. Each field below maps to something the app cannot do without it.
- Phone number
- Your account identifier and how one time passwords reach you. Collected at sign up.
- Email address
- Optional, or supplied by Google Sign-In. Used for account recovery and service notices, not marketing.
- Name
- Shown on the reviews you write.
- Profile photograph
- Optional. Stored in Amazon S3 and shown beside your reviews.
- Precise location
- Latitude and longitude, used only while you are looking for dishes near you, to rank nearby plates and calculate the distance to each. You can decline it and still use city rankings.
- Reviews and review media
- The rating, the text and any photographs you attach. These are public by design.
- Google Sign-In identity
- If you sign in with Google, we receive the identifier, name and email address on that account. We never receive your Google password.
- Device platform
- Whether you are on iOS or Android, so we can fix crashes on the platform they happen on.
We do not collect payment details, because there is nothing to pay for. We do not collect your contacts, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Why we use it
Every use below is one of: running your account, producing the rankings, or keeping the platform honest.
- Authenticating you, by one time password or Google Sign-In.
- Ranking dishes near you, which requires your location at the moment you ask.
- Attributing your reviews to you, and enforcing one review per person per dish.
- Calculating your loyalty tier from your rating count, and showing you the offers your tier can claim.
- Moderating content that is reported or flagged.
- Diagnosing crashes and errors on the platform they occurred on.
What is public
Your reviews, your rating, your display name and your profile photograph are visible to anyone using the app. Your loyalty tier is visible on your profile. Your phone number, email address and location are never shown to other users.
How long we keep it
Account data is retained while your account is open. When you delete it, the account, profile, reviews and session tokens are removed from live systems within the window stated on the account deletion page, and encrypted backups roll off after their own cycle.
Location is used at the moment you request nearby dishes and is not retained as a location history.
Your choices
- Delete your account, and everything covered on the deletion page, from inside the app at any time.
- Withdraw location permission in your device settings without losing access to city rankings.
- Edit or remove any review you have written.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
Children
Chakhle Raja is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or why, this page changes first and the date at the top of it moves. Material changes are also announced in the app.
